Packing Method and Necessities for Foreigners In Japan To Remove Their Personal Effects

TRANSPORTATION
It's our great pleasure to inform you that we are well experienced and have enough knowledge to arrange your personal effects in Japan to various home-ports where ships serve and our overseas agent undertake it for delivery to your home via door to door after customs declaration. You don't have to worry about anything and the expense occurred reasonably. And you can be assured of our professional and qualified service. (Generally, we will deliver the luggage on the first floor only. However, if it's required to go upstairs, please don't hesitate to contact our trucking company, whose extra allowance will be charged individually.)

TIME OF TRANSIT
It takes about 25 days to 1 month to The United States and Asian Countries, and about 2 month for South Africa, Australia and Europe.

CALCULATION OF FEE
The cost is subject to the size/measurement of the luggage. Usually around 2 M3 from Japan to various ports in the world will be approximately \80,000 to \120,000

NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
The following are the documents we need for working procedures.
1. Copy of passport form P.1 to P.4 and the extension.
2. Packing list of luggage.

WAYS OF PACKING
The packing can be done by your good self or consigned to our company, which depends on you. Certainly your personal use of underwear and very valuable properties will be packed by your own. In the meantime, we'll provide you paper boxes, which will be delivered to your place by SAGAWA EXPRESS LIMITED, after receipt your payment of the reservation fee.
* Utensils made from glass should be wrapped carefully in cloth one by one, and then they should be put into the boxes and marked with " FRAGILE LABEL "
* Clothes should be put in boxes or suitcases.
* Electric appliances (such as TVs, Stereos, Videos, Personal Computers, and Word Processors etc.,) should be packed in the original boxes if they are available. And all the space should be occupied fully by clothes or cloth to prevent damage.(In the packing list, you should mention the brand and model No.) Furthermore, items like Refrigerators, Tables and Heaters etc., should be packed by our professional staff for the sake of protecting your goods.(The packing fee is about \2,000 or more for each item.) If you need the packing material such as air packs and/or tapes , we are capable to supply you and additional cost will be charged accordingly. Besides, we would suggest you the table legs should be taken off if possible before stuffing in order to reduce occupation.
* Stove should be drained of oil, the Refrigerator, Washing machine as well as Drawers should have nothing inside.
* Cigarettes, alcohol and valuable properties(diamonds, camera, video and the like) please don't be forwarded via sea-freight to avoid loss.
* Especially for Personal Computers, Word Processors, especially, you are kindly requested to mention its brand, model, number, year of purchase, and price in the packing list, because it needs to possess export permit.
* To remove piano or electronic piano, please inform us as soon as possible for arrangement of removal date and packing in order.

TAXATION
No tax is required for exportation from Japan. However, the importing tax at the port of different countries is different, too. If we can be of any service to you, please feel free to contact us when ever and wherever you are.

About Used Car that you would like to send back to your country

Welcome to Kenko Co. and thank you for inquiring about our international moving service. It is our commitment to provide the highest standards of service for you. Below are some information regarding our standard process of moving personal possessions back home and some things to watch for in your moving:.
1. Please contact us one month in advance of your planned moving date. Especially when you live some distance away from Tokyo, it will take longer time for preparation.
2. Please apply for and supply the original proof of ticketing (reservation certificate) from your airline, this is for the application of custom clearance.
3. Please provide a copy of your passport, including your picture and any pages containing your visa.
4. If you have any Used Car that you would like to send back to your country, please note the following:
i. Please reserve in advance with Kenko Co. regarding the shipment of your Used Car.
ii. Please fax your Automatic Automobile Inspection Visa to Kenko Co., we need to make sure whether or not your car can be exported.
iii. We would recommend that you drive your car to Kenko Co., because in Japan it is very expensive to hire someone to deliver your car to any location. You can deliver any personal luggage or packages with the Used Car but please do not have any unpacked stuff in the car, there will be problem when the car go through the customs.
iv. Please note: When you deliver your car to Kenko Co., make sure it only have less than 1/4 tank of gasoline.
v. After our personnel have inspected your car we will take off the license plate and return it to you on location.
vi. Please take your license plate and the Automatic automobile inspection visa to local branch office of the District Land Transport Bureau to apply for the Erasion registration certificate.

vii. After you obtained the Erasion registration certificate please fax it to Kenko Co.
viii. After all paper works have arrived at Kenko Co. then we will be able to apply for export permission from Japan Custom. Once we obtain the permission then we will prepare the car for shipment to your final destination.
